Spanish Paella

Hand picked and gathered in the fields of Spain, the vibrant red Crocus flower stigmas (Saffron threads) impart a luminous yellow color and deep honey hay flavor tones as it’s cooked. This Valencian Paella fuses this with smokey, earthy and herb flavors for a luxurious dish.

The Basic Cooking Technique - the Culinary Spice Kit comes with detailed cooking instructions on the back, but here’s the basics.

Marinade the chicken or vegetables while you chop your onions, garlic, peppers and tomatoes. Brown the meat/vegetables, sauté the onions, garlic and peppers, add the rice and stock to partially cook on the stove top. Arrange your browned meats & seafood or browned vegetables on top of the rice and bake in the oven until done. A few steps to this one to be rewarded with a fantastic dish.
